I have an AT&T fiber pole at the end of my driveway. A fiber termination point across the street, but I am only offered 18 Meg bonded DSL. I have Comcast, but they seem to think 900 down/25 up is a good plan. My cloud backups are so slow. I'd take 300/300 in a heartbeat. So distance is NOT my issue. Any thoughts?

My neighborhood consists of about 400 homes. Many of the homes in the back part of the neighborhoods only have the 25mbit service. A neighborhood literally across the street has 1G internet on Fiber. I think my neighborhood is finally getting fiber lines and I’m pretty sure the company doing it is att although there are no flags or company numbers on who is doing construction, but I found a cable in one of the holes they dug that says “Corning Optical Cable” and “CAT, with some numbers or something “ or something like that.
